I want what Dolly Parton and Vogue cover star Miley Cyrus have. Despite nearly five decades between them, the godmother and goddaughter duo are the thickest of thieves; they sing together, dance together, act together, and even spent this New Year’s Eve together, where plenty of singing and dancing ensued. One might even go as far to suggest they look quite a lot like each other, having, over the years, enjoyed a handful of twinning beauty moments. However, according to Miley this is no coincidence. “What Dolly usually does when she performs with other artists is she either matches them or does the complete opposite,” she tells Vogue.

The ‘Dolly’
The first of many beautiful moments, here is Miley wearing the iconic ‘Dolly’ wig with matching coral lipstick on the set of Hannah Montana.
Crimped and curly
“I personally love when Dolly crimps her hair, so this was a special request from me,” Miley says of their matching crimped look at her 2022 Year New Year’s Eve Party. “We look like sisters.”
Blue Lids
Leave it to Miley and Dolly to nail the perfect blue lid, made famous in the ’90s by the likes of Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Princess Diana. Their matching high gloss aquamarine lids are enough to warrant a comeback.
